Information about Tepostop Přelouč
From the past to the present
TEPOSTOP limited liability company was founded in December 1992 and is historically the first manufacturer of fire extinguishers within the territory of the Czech Republic. However, fire extinguishers have been made in Přelouč, where the company is based, under the TEPO – STOP brand from as far back as 1991.
More than twelve years have passed since manufacturing of fire extinguishers was commenced. Over this time, TEPOSTOP® fire extinguishers have gained a secure position, not only on the Czech market and thanks to their quality are exported to European countries such as the Slovak Republic, Belgium, Lithuania, Poland and others.
History of fire extinguishers
The first fire extinguisher, which was manufactured in Přelouč was the P6Tlm fire extinguisher under constant pressure and fitted with an air pressure gauge, followed by a range with the trade description P6Pa and V8Pa with a pressure cartridge. On the basis of development a new range of fire extinguishers was later certified under the trade description P1Tlm and P2Tlm. This concerned a fire extinguisher, which was already under constant pressure (allowing for interrupted extinguishing as with the P6Tlm device) and with a fixed air pressure gauge. Through gradual improvement of the Tlm range with an aluminium container, our company developed other fire extinguishers. New ranges, which had steel containers, were equipped as standard with an air pressure gauge and especially contained new types of extinguishing agents. Powder fire extinguishers: PG1L, PG2L, PG4L and PG6L containing Centrimax ABC 40 powder, the V8L water fire extinguisher and fire extinguishers in the STAR CA2, STAR CA4, STAR CA6 range with special extinguishing agent - CEA 614 (clean gas extinguishing agent for electronics and computing technology), which was replaced in 1997 with FE 36 extinguishing agent by the American Du Pont. With the arrival of the new ČSN EN 3 norms it was necessary to certify these extinguishers again. FIRESTOP® extinguishing systems
In 1997 the company began to develop another product. The FIRESTOP® automatic extinguishing system, followed by the FIRESTOP® stabil local stable extinguishing system, represented another revolution in anti-fire protection. Certificates gained
The company has been certified with a quality system according to ČSN EN ISO 9001 since 1998 and since 2001 according to the new ČSN EN ISO 9001 norms. All fire extinguishers have been approved according to the latest European ČSN EN 3-7 norms and Directives of the European Parliament and Council 97/23/ES (use of the CE marking). TEPOSTOP limited liability company is a member of the Association of Manufacturers of Fire Extinguishers based in Pardubice and the Professional Chamber of Fire Safety based in Prague. Declaration of Conformity is issued for all of our company’s products and at the same time, we provide a guarantee period of 24 months.
